WORKFLOW MAP

The PlotonIQ workflow — from brief to invoice

Four phases, one system: how quote, measurement, calculation and production connect — and why an integrated workflow beats any tool stack.

Every sign-shop job goes through the same four phases — whether it's window film, an illuminated sign or a fleet wrap. The real question: are the phases connected, or does each live in its own tool?

An integrated workflow saves time — but more importantly, it eliminates the biggest error source: data handover between tools. Measurement in WhatsApp, quote in Excel, production on paper — every boundary is a job waiting to go sideways.

THE BIG-PICTURE FLOW

How the four phases dock into each other

Each phase supplies the input for the next. An error in Phase 1 propagates to Phase 4. That's why integration beats any single best-of-breed tool.

  1. 1

    Proposal → Measurement

Rough proposal during the pre-talk, then exact on-site measurement. The photo AI transfers area directly into the job record.

  2. 2

    Measurement → Calculation

The measured area feeds the AI calculation automatically. Material, waste and labour time are recomputed.

  3. 3

    Calculation → Production

Once the customer approves, production tasks appear in the kanban — with material ordering and machine planning.

  4. 4

    Production → Post-calculation

Actual time tracked is compared to the planned calculation automatically. The AI learns for the next quote.
